This painting is about kinship. Not necessarily family of origin, but the people who love and know you.
Whenever I pass this hodge podge of prairie ponies that lives by my studio, I think: what a band of kindred spirits. They are a mix of all sorts, but they feel like a real “Motley Crue”.
