DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THESE HORSES?

Travel Highway 287, north of Three Forks, and your eyes will certainly be drawn to a hill where you will see a herd of animals. What are they you think--elk, deer, antelope maybe? Grab the binoculars. Look closer. (read the rest of this article by Kevin Maki here )

These are artist Jim Nolan's gift to the people of Montana and they have been the inspiration for several of my paintings.

Thanks Jim Nolan, The people of Montana love your gift.

“BLACK AND BLUE” 5x4 ft

This painting depicts the horses in one of our Montana winters. You can really feel just how cold it gets here in the winter.

“PINTO STUD” 4x4 ft, sold

Growing up in rural Montana, I’ve known and owned many paint quarter horses. I just love the striking color composition of a pinto on the Montana plains.

“PAINTED LADIES” 2.5x5 ft, sold

My take of the horses as a band. Oftentimes, when you drive through Montana, you see groups of horses that feel similar.
